Scrapbook of newspaper clippings (1939) from the Sixth Congress of the Baptist World Alliance, held in Atlanta, Georgia; and scrapbook (1957) of testimonial letters honoring Bill Streit, Jr. Streit was a Birmingham, Alabama, businessman and Auburn University Alumnus, Southeastern Athletic Conference football and track official, chairman of the U.S. Olympic wrestling team, 1924-1936, and U.S. Olympic Executive Committee member, 1948-1952.

East Alabama Male College, sponsored by the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, was chartered in May 1856. Classes opened in 1859 in Auburn, Alabama, but the college closed during the Civil War. Reopening in 1866, the college became a land-grant institution in 1872 and changed its name to Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama.
